Progressive: Hate Labels but Proud to take this one

Hey, I hate labels and this is one. This is a trap; this word. FOX and Glenn Beck, paid dupe or complicity traitor to his country, are part of a counter-intelligence operation aimed at the United States of America and this word is their straw man, so be it. I never thought of myself as one until now, I guess. Since apparently we are all forced to retreat to our corners prior to the bell.
This is a word they are attempting to smear and sully. It is a clear attempt by FOX news to pit the right against the left. The word Progressive, thus, gives the GOP conservatives – virtually indistinguishable from FOX News - an excuse to pillory and demonize those of us on the side of the equation who are anti-BigCorp (Big Oil, Big Pharma, Big War et al), and pro-democracy.

This is the sort of incendiary rhetoric that comes from listening to too much Beck as he animalizes anyone who dares agree with Obama

My personal beliefs are pretty straightforward and are best voiced by the likes of Michael Moore and Congressman Alan Grayson: a corporation should not have more voice in the democratic process than a human being citizen of these United States. And contrary to the wishes of big corp and its slavish lackies, many of whom serve in congress, and on the Supreme Court, a corporation IS NOT A HUMAN BEING. In that a corporation CANNOT feel guilt, nor express a social conscience. Like androids they can ape these distinctly human emotions for the purposes of tax write-offs, but, they simply cannot feel and express these in a genuine sense.
I love my country. I was born here. As a Peace Corps Volunteer I swore an oath to preserve protect and defend the Constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic. I consider FOX News to be both. Initiated by a foreign media speculator, operated domestically for the nearly unveiled purpose of destabilizing the United States, promoting hate and civil unrest, deflecting warranted criticism of our current economic crisis away from big corp interests, that put us here, and shifting it on the harsh spotlite of “progressivism.” How can someone mention ACORN as if this is a credible threat to democracy, while billions of tax dollars are spent every second, for defense contracts in a perpetual cycle of manufactured warfare? How can ACORN be a problem while we continue using a fossil resource, marching headlong into a wall of scarcity regarding this resource, WHILE destroying the environment; leaving off the cost in human lives to the armed conflict such a pursuit tallies.
You’ll notice the large corporations need nothing for you now, other than your vote. That one last vestige of the democracy they have yet to eradicate, though Beck and his puppet masters are trying to find a way to do just that. They still need that pesky little thing from us called the vote. They need it in significant enough numbers to cover their tracks when they rig voting machines the way they did when George W. Bush was elected over Al Gore.
There are plans to send us to war, now. These plans are predicated on a destroyed market, a middle class brought to heel, civil unrest, and runaway spending on “defense.” This will leave little alternative in the way of employment for our young other than soldiery. They need small business broken, penniless.
The person standing in the way of much of these plans is Barack Obama. His election was a groundswell that would not be denied, even overcoming glaring irregularities in voting machines, closed voting locations etc. Barack’s agenda to solve some of these problems, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, and eventually fossil fuels, and backing away from world conflict, separation of church and state, fostering a spirit of greater cooperation between nations, all of these things throw wrenches in the gears of the machine trying to destroy us, according to some plan. This is the nature of the venom aimed at our current president, as voiced by FOX News; the enemy within.
You’ll notice that a Progressive as defined by Beck et al, is anyone who cares deeply about the future of this country, as if caring for the future were a vice of some sort. By this very definition, EVERY ONE of our founders, to a man, and woman, was a progressive.
I take my place in their ranks, unbowed, unrepentant. If Glenn Beck and his minions, now aflame with a purity test of false Christianity, and FOX News desire to start a liquidation campaign now to hunt us down and kill us, I will be more than happy to stand up and fight for what I believe.
Others before me have died for less.

Now, this would be all well and good and no harm, but, this goes on every, single day. Sad that I know this, but then, Unemployment Month on MyBladderisfull.blogspot.com has been extended, indefinitely. It strains credulity to propose this person isn't a paid minion of Mr. Beck and Fox et. al. or perhaps the Tea Bagger party.

If you find Beck offensive and you go after his advertisers, this troll opines that you are inciting violence against Mr. Beck. Love that?

Okay, data from 1995 until now, according to ONE scientist, does not show signs of "significant" warming.
Really? THIS is your proof that there is no such thing as a greenhouse effect? Are you serious?
Of course you can't be that ill-informed. And by you I mean members of the GOP, members of the media. And Glenn Beck, in particular, who is neither.
Okay, let's give another example. The road in front of your house is crumbling, getting worse. If you pour acid on it, every single day it will deteriorate faster and faster. You conduct an experiment, you pour mild acid on it for a year, and only barely notice a difference between your street and the one over from you. You conclude acid has no affect on asphault or concrete.
Are you a moron? Would you conclude something so damned stupid and disengenuous just to proove a point, lying even to yourself in the process?
Likely you would, I guess.

There! Are you soft in the head, or what?
There are literally millions of factors leading into whether or not we are experiencing global warming. The time scale over which these factors work is geologic. A very simplistic example of global warming might go like this.

Notice the penguins know just what the hell is going on. No denial there. GOP might represent the idiots who stand on the shore looking at the approaching wave in total denial, total disbelief.
Ice melts. Carbon dioxide is responsible for trapping heat from sunlight; that's th greenhouse effect. It is responsible for trapping enough heat to keep life liveable when the sun goes bye bye at night. But too much greenhouse gas, is not good. There is more carbon dioxide in our atmosphere since well before the last ice age. At the very least we are conducting a massive experiment with our atmosphere. These facts are not in dispute.
If the GOP wasn't so focused on legislating science out of the classroom, and putting God back in, they wouldn't have such a hatred of reality.
You can bow, kneel, genuflect, you can even put on Jeebus Jammies. It will not do any good. Jeebus will not help us fight the coming changes to our atmosphere. We have to reverse course.
Yeah, it might get cooler for a time while more ice is melting. A very simplistic way to look at it, but once it does, there is no replacement ice to keep things cool and the temperature will rise again, unchecked.
Trouble with conservatives, as they practise their svengali voodoo these days, is they never seemed concerned about conserving anything.
There is a ray of hope in this video, and it is this: what if the ice chunk had been twice the size of the one that fell? Probably happens all the time. That little landing there would have been swamped with 28 degree brine; the kayakers would have been dumped in the drink. That kind of cold can stop a heart, flat!
Maybe there is a God. If he is, he's knocking awful hard.

Sarah's World

Let's pretend she's president now. Live in that moment.
Are you completely amazed it even happened or utterly terrified? Or are you content, that everything is alright now, and those boogiemen called "Progressives" have been cast back out into the shadows?
If you agree she would be a great world leader then, you had better be in the latter camp. There's one party now. Get it? Because in Sarah's world, if you shine a light of criticism on her for even a moment; you're out. Evil meanie media! That means you!
You're out and that's the end of it! Because, she represents the good people of the heartland, tanslation, REAL AMERICANS. Okay?
You know, the Germans experimented with this "real Germans" game of infinite one-upmanship in the early hours of World War II. Yeah, it didn't go well. This sort of game always has a negative outcome. Remember Bosnia? No? That's right, 'cause in planet-Sarah, we don't know much about history, don't know much biology, don't know much about a science book, don't know much about the French I took.
In Sarah's world, AKA Forever High; the point guard with the pleasant smile is always vying for your vote on student council.
Winners never quit, and quitters never win? Whatever happened to that? IN Sarah's world, we forget the past, immediately. No short term memory?
But wait, what about Uncle Rupert, and FOX? In that she's also a paid spokesperson for FOX, how does that dealio work; well, okay, FOX then, they can be there, to parse the stories and words coming out of her mouth just so. Because Sarah's world, let's face it, is FOX's world. There is no separation of church and state; the cult of Sarah, and the state, run by News Corp. Or News Corpse, the place where truth goes to die.
She will be appearing in Orlando. You won't be able to bring a camera inside, nor record her. As you enter the arena, imagine how the world would be if the inside equals the outside, after it's all over.
Many of us have already done the math on all of this, and well, there's no room for freedom in Sarah's world/FOX's world; no matter what she's telling you, no matter what she writes on her hand.
Oh and, keep in mind the image that Rupert Murdoch is painting of us with our ONE remaining staunch ally on earth.

There's nothing quite like style masked as substance. Like those Calvin Klein ads, or the mini-dramas that whisper the name of a specific perfume just before fade-out, there is a way to say something, to set a tone, without offering specifics.

Polo by Ralph Lauren doesn't specifically say you need to be rich to enjoy this product, but it helps. So too, here. You needn't be Christian, protestant, white and undereducated to get behind this message - such that it is - but you'll probably feel more welcomed amid this crowd if you can check off all of those boxes. As some of their cardboard signs explicitly state, those in government who are "pushing too hard" against the aforementioned groups, be advised; the membership is not afraid to weaponize if you don't stop doing whatever it is you are doing. Again, no hard specifics here; more of a loosey-goosey. The president shouldn't be black, we can guess, shouldn't have a "Muslim" sounding name, just generally "shouldn't"....whatever.

This is what Glenn Beck is creating with his Constitution Party, all tone, all racist, violent, psuedo-christian-centered, and quite simply anti. What is it anti, you might ask? Everything that those who aren't "real Americans" represent.

As the reporter said in an aside, if you repeat "socialism" "communism" and "fascism" over and over again, they not only lose their meaning but form a nice sort of cabalistic chant which motivates the masses. They don't know what these things are, but, they are sure Obama is bringing them, and they are sure these things are evil. What evidence do they have that our president is bringing these things? Well, sound out his name yourself. It sounds evil, doesn't it? He must be.

If you watch this video you learn a few things 1. That Barack Obama is not a Christian, and in fact he was mentioned in the Bible, as the antichrist. 2. Hitler was a good speaker, therefor Barack Obama is possibly Hitler reborn. 3. Czars came from Ceasar during the Roman times. 4. Czars are going to be taking land from "devout" Americans, and giving it to someone, most likely someone undeserving. Perhaps the native Americans, or black welfare mothers. Those who are not "real Americans."

Glenn Beck of course isn't disuading any of his disciples from espousing false, hostile or overtly violent beliefs. As a leader he is perfectly happy that the rhetoric - hatred, racism, unfounded paranoid delusion - contiues so long as the flock keeps following himself.

Beck uses his antithesis, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. as sort of a totem, or kewpee in his show's opening credits. By Beck's smirk, we note the awareness of his little act of blasphemy. We thank that he is subtle enough not to have yet invoked the name of Ghandi in all his rantings. And Beck now feels sufficiently emboldened to repeat King's march on Washington D.C. and is planning a rally at the feet of Abraham Lincoln, all to come this summer. This, outwardly to "liberate" the masses from overspending. Here, we can safely predict Beck will not be espousing non-violent social change. He will avoid this sort of talk, the way a vampire avoids sunlight.

We recall that King was continuously warning his flock not to lapse into hatred, for the sake of the nation; not to take anything he said at the pulpit as an excuse to descend to that level. These reminders were daily. No such words of sage calm flows from Beck who, unlike a moral leader, distances himself from the whims of his crowd rather than accepts responsibility for "unintended" inferences they might have made from his vitriol.

History has had its rewriters and bad leaders. And Beck is no different. But never before have the bad, nakedly false rewrites come so close on the heels of outright corruption and graft which continues today; especially within the military industrial complex which T-baggers and Beck never seem to mention.

Beck instead points his minions to the alleged transgressions of all blacks via "ACORN" references and extractions. Jews and other non christians, or christians who are not the right brand, i.e. catholics, in his repeated references to Manhattan. And of course the intellectuals, whom he pillories with his jabs at the scientific community.Evironmentalists and scientists take their drubbings which grow daily more acidic. The fact none of his faithful hear the echoes of Hitler in all this, provides sad commentary to the state of our schools, the science of reading, and the overall education level of our citizens, especially the Tea-Baggers, many of whom have no idea what they are talking about. Run the video again, and tell me I am wrong.

Jews, catholics, ethnic minorities, and intellectuals. History's easiest scapegoats are targets before he even touches on the biggest welfare state, GE, Lockheed-Martin, Boeing, DRS, Blackwater, and the list of fat, grazing, self-satisified contractors runs on and on.

Pol Pot, Hitler, Stalin, and the list of despots who have trod this path of blaming the brainy and the outsiders, runs long and well-remembered among the literate, that is.

The wise American turns his head like the dog hearing the train whistle, at this point. That whistle sounded very similar in pre-WWII Germany. The very people who see Obama as the next Hitler are allowing themselves to be turned into the Brownshirts, shock troop thugs. Many, will not understand this reference to the Brownshirts, because they bullied their school districts into abandoning or glazing over history and science in the classroom, and are doing it again to their own children, goaded by Mr. Beck et al.

But like the high school student who takes the AP version of history, rather than the basic, let's look deeper at the phenomenon of this jack-in-box, rewriter character.

Beck and his mobbish minions, for they epitomise the angry mob of the French Revolution, more than thoughtful founding fathers who sweated and strained against even the thought of killing their fellow British subjects, are merely being played like an old song.

Perhaps The Who, said it best: "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

This time, the designated battlefield will likely be right here on American soil after a second civil war which Beck and others push for. Someone is planning on stepping in as the fight breaks out. Beck plays Hitler, thus, American plays Germany, and needs to be taken over and "taught a lesson" by the allies. And it isn't as though our previous president didn't whore away our good name all over the planet to the extent an American can scarcely raise his head in public abroad.

Before the melee begins, these enemies within need to enrich themselves as do squirrels before a long winter. So, what better way than driving down the dollar toward some fictitious doomsday, the 2012 switch, scooping the board when the all-clear sounds, just before the fighting breaks out in earnest?

Beck recently said at The Villages, Florida he would hold a voter registration drive in Orlando not in "Manhattan" where he is unwelcomed by 'those people' the boogeyman them of his fables and stories.

Really? Beck, not welcome in Manhattan? Nonsense. He's as welcomed there as Sinatra, or Joel. Beck is Manhattan. He can play the folksy guy to the sexually-active edlers at The Villages, Florida but the fact is, half his show at times is dedicated to the island. And what he and G. Gordon Liddy and all their scary hoards will do for Wall Street is make a select membership exceedingly wealthy and powerful when all is through.

For someone who claims to love America, Beck and his advertiser, Rossalin Capital, spend an awful lot of time trying to convince you to hold the American dollar in complete contempt, and toss it away for bits of shiny metal. Have you ever asked yourself why?

The object is power over you: not to raise you to their level. And they will use your innate hatred of "the other" and your need to exact retribution over that "other" no matter that it is ill placed, as means to enslave you. But, they need you running like lemmings over a cliff in order to elevate themselves to the stratosphere of wealth and power. And they are willing to feed this nation to our enemies in order to accomplish this.

The civil unrest being sponsored by Beck will allow even more foreign ownership of our institutions. Watch what I am holding in my right hand, while I misdirect you from what is happening behind my back.

This is the recurrent theme. Beck uses retread racism to galvinize the well-fed masses, be-decked in polo shirts, sun hats, T-shirts, shorts and sansabelts, all brandishing American flags, to become insensed at social programs such as schools, and sex education, all the while, the spending which began under a conservative, republican president, in the name of war, has been quietly tallying up a bill none of us can pay.

Beck doesn't want you to remember that, where all this nonsense began, he would rather you look at those who have different skin and different lifestyles, your fellow Americans, and hate them. Because that will raise a ruckus faster, you hatred of your neighbor, your fellow American.

People, this has all happened before. Hopefully we "won't get fooled again."
